Trikuta Reservoirs are on the west side of the Satpura Range. When the monsoon winds blew west-to-east, the reservoirs had an inexhaustible supply of rainwater that fed the Yamuna, Ken, Sone, and Narmada rivers even during prolonged periods of drought. Monsoon winds reverse direction every 20,000 years due to the Earth's rotation around the Sun, called Axial tilt. The last reversion took place 4,000 years ago. Now the winds blow east to west, and the west side of the Satpura has turned into a wasteland deprived of rainwater. Hindus (DNA F) lived on the west side from 20,000 BCE to 2,000 BCE when it was fertile land. All of them were forced to move to the east side of the Satpura 4,000 years ago. Before 4,000 years ago, the east side was a vast wasteland deprived of rainwater; now it is fertile land with an abundant supply of rainwater.
